When “ Spitfire ” was suggested as a name for an unnamed road in New Plymouth the title met with general approval at a recent meeting of the Taranaki County Council. “ The name is certainly up-to-date, and perhaps not inappropriate,” remarked a councillor, There had been some conflict of opinion among residents oh the road regarding drainage matters, which may have prompted the councillor’s remark regarding appropriateness.
