KATAN BEATS BLOMFIELD (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, Sept. 30. A spectacular, and at times rough, wrestling contest between John Katan. of Canada, and Lofty Blomfield of Auckland, ended abruptly, Blomfield having a penalty fall given against him for pushing the referee over when the latter was attempting to separate the pair during an exchange of jolting, into which he considered punching was being introduced. Prior to Ibis, each man had obtained a fall. The pair continued to light in mid-ring aftei the referee’s decision, the police bavins to intervene.
