DRIZZLE OR RAIN PROBABLE Forecast for Otago.—The following official weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours, was issued at 5 p.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington:— Light to moderate winds from between north-east and south-east. Weather cloudy to overcast, with some drizzle or. rain. Cool temperatures. Seas slight to moderate. Dominion Forecast.—One depression lies to the south-east of the South Island, while another is located off the New South Wales coast and is increasing in intensity. Pressure is high to the north-east and over Tasmania. Weather unsettled in western and far southern districts of the South Island, with further rain probable. Otherwise mainly fair to cloudy. Scattered drizzle developing later in western districts of the North Island: Temperatures becoming slightly milder except in the far south. Weather in Dunedin.—The weather was dull on Saturday with mist on the hills and temperatures were mild, the maximum being 55 degrees. The sky cleared towards evening. Yesterday was overcast and threatening, with cool temperatures, and there were showers in the late afternoon and evening. The barometer fell sharply to 29.76 inches (1008 millibars) at midnight.
