CHOIR AND DRAMA FESTIVAL The annual choir and drama festival of the Methodist Bible Classes was commenced In the Concert Chamber last night when there was a good attendance. The festival will be concluded On Saturday night when the judges will announce the results. J. , ■ - . Six choirs competed last night .in the own selection hymn. Those taking part were the Glenavon, Dundas street, Cargill road; Central Mission. Caversham. and St. Kllda choirs, all of which were given a good reception. , '. .. Three plays were presented during the evening—the trial scene from ” The Merchant of Venice,” by the Trinity classes. “ The Compassionate Heart,” by the Caversham classes, and “ Martha and Mary,” by the Dundas street classes. All were well acted and produced.
