AIRCRAFTMAN KILLED

STRUCK BY A PROPELLER (Per United Press Association) , WELLINGTON, Sept. 11. It was announced officially in Wellington to-night that Aircraftman Arthur Lawrence Jessop. aged 22, was killed when he was struck by the propropeller of a plane at the Ohakea Air Force Station at 6.4 p.m. to-day A Palmerston North message states that the only information to hand is that Jessop walked into the orbit of the moving propeller of a stationary aeroplane to be terribly mutilated by. the revolving blades. His father is Mr A. L. Jessop. of Rongotea.
