Aid for Britain The Uganda War Fund Committee has sent Britain £225,000 as the first instalment for the purchase of Spitfires or bombers with a request the the aeroplanes be named Uganda. The Kenya-Uganda Railway and Harbour Administration has made a loan of a second £IOO,OOO, free of interest, for the duration of the war.
