:FALSE PRETENCES NEW ZEALANDER SENTENCED SYDNEYrAug. 8. (Received Aug. 9, at Q. 15 a.m.) A sentence of two years' imprisonment was imposed on a. New Zealander, Jendesy Arthur Garner, aged 29, a panelbeater, for having obtained property by "false, pretences' and being ,in possession of property stolen in New Zealand. Thelatter.included a National Bank of New,Zealand draft valued at £75. - Detective <; Clothier described Garner as a* cralty criminal. ;
