MIST AND LIGHT RAIN LIKELY Forecast for Otago— The following official 'weather forecast for Otago, covering'the ensuing 24 hours, was issued at 5 p;m. yesterday by the ' Meteorological Office in Wellington:— Light to fresh winds from an easterly quarter. Weather dull, with some mist on the coast and occasional drizzle or, rain. Temperatures cool. Seas slight to ' moderate. Dominion Forecast.— A cyclonic disturbance is located to the west of the ' North Island. Pressure is high to the east, and an anti-cyclone extends from Australia across the south Tasman Sea. Weather unsettled and in places misty, with some rain in most .districts, but especially in the' central, provinces. Conditions improving later from the north and west. Temperatures cool in the south, moderate in the north'. Weather in Dunedin. —Dull and overcast conditions were experienced in Dunedin yesterday. There was a moderate north-east, wind and the maximum temperature was 51 degrees. The barometer fell to 30.17 inches (1022 millibars) in the late afternoon and then showed a rising tendency. It fell again slightly after 7 o'clock, however, and at midnight the reading was 30.15 inches ..(1021 millibars).
