RUTHLESS NAZI TERROR Current Film at Majestic—The Russianmade film of the Nazi terror in Germany, "Professor Mamlock," which is one of the most remarkable of the last decade, will be shown to-night at the Majestic Theatre. It is at once a dramatic, highlyexciting story, a piece of history, and an indictment. As an indictment it is so strong that it was forbidden public exhibition in Britain, a ban which has been removed within the last few weeks. For in this film, naked and ruthless, are the things for which Nazi Germany stands, and the things which the forces of Britain are now gathered to crush. Dr Mamlock is a Jewish doctor of the highest standing, the head of a clinic in Berlin, politically detached, a man honoured for his gallantry at Verdun, and concerned only to serve humanity by his skill. A son, a brilliant young scientist, is on the eve of a discovery that will benefit all mankind. But the son is swept up in the stormy currents of German politics; his father does not understand the situation that is being created, and bitterly resents this political activity by one of his family. From here the story gives a realistic expose of the methods used by the Nazi .regime. " Daughters Courageous." Produced with the " Four Daughters " cast, " Daughters Courageous," which is the next attraction at the Majestic Theatre, proves the sustained popularity of the family problem picture. The family dealt with in the film is six in number, five of them resident in one place and the other resident at the same place on rare occasions over a period of 20 years. This latter is the father, absent without notice and on vagabond errands, leaving his wife to make a particularly successful job of raising their four lovely daughters. The family is getting along nicely without father when he walks in inopportunely, just when his wife has secured a divorce and is contemplating marriage with an eminently patient suitor. Priscilla, Rosemary and Lola Lane and Gale Page are the sisters, and they are supported bv fine acting on the part of Claude Rains, Fay Bainter and John Garfield. Plans are at the Bristola.
