PALMERSTON Community Sing A successful community sing was held in the Town Hall on Monday evening, and as a result the Patriotic Fund benefited to the extent of £37 8s sd. This function was organised by the local Boys Brigade. Messrs J. F. Himburg, A. Pettit, and Arthur Lungley, and Misses Todd and Darracott, of Dunedin, conducted the singing, which was interspersed with solos by Miss Darracott and Mr A. Lungley, tap dancing by Miss Todd and a ventnloquialact by Mr Gerrie (Palmerston). Rugby Football The following players will represent Palmerston in the Palmerston v. Shag Point match, to be played at. Palmerston to-morrow:— Murray, Cameron, McGregor, Clearwater, Parkhill, Haldane, Hayes, Gunn, Mitchell, Strachan, Vinnicombe, Murdoch (2). Malloch, Mercer, Hunt, Aitchison, Oliver.
