At the June meeting of the Waikoikoi branch Mrs W. J. McKenzie presided and reported on the recent conference. Miss Mitchell gave an enjoyable talk on "Tramping in Cen.tralOtago," and Miss Stark's address was entitled "Hygiene and Bandaging." The competitions resulted:—. Red Cross traycloth—Mrs Robertson 1. Miss E. McKenzie 2, Mrs J. McCall 3; oat cakeS—Miss M. McCall 1. Mrs J. McCall 2, Miss S. Lindsay 3. The roll call was "A Scottish Story."
The monthly- meeting of the Moa Flat branch was held on Tue/day, Mrs Yardley presiding. A report was: given of the conference held in Dunedin. Dr
Bowie gave en interesting' health talk, for which Mrs J. Heath, on behalf of members rendered thanks. The results of a bring and buy sale proved very satisfactory, the money being used to pay for wool bought and knitted up by members for those going away' from the district on active service.
