COMMANDER IN ENGLAND MR EDEN VISITS CAMP HIGH PRAISE FOR MEN (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 28. From the official war correspondent attached to the>New Zealand forces in Great Britain, dated Aldershot, June 27: ,: •.", -,-; Major-general B. C. Freyberg. V.C., who is in England on business connected with training and organisation, is now at the headquarters of the New. Zealand Expeditionary Force. He is busy meeting the • officers and men of the staff for discussions. This morning Mr Anthony Eden Secretary for War. informally visited the largest New Zealand camp and was received by General Freyberg and introduced to the senior. officers. He spent half an hour wandering among the troops doing ordinary tram ing and later entered several mens
messes and talked with them at table. " How are they treating you? ' he asked one gr6up. "Fine," was a soldier's genial reply, "but not as well as Burnham." "Ah," said Mr Eden, " there's nothing as good as New Zealand is there? "■■ Recalling his similar impression when he met the first echelon in Egypt, the Minister remarked of the second echelon: "They are a magnificent body of men and are looking exceedingly fit. We are delighted to have them here."

He showed them 6ver : St. Paul's, the Tower of London, the House of Commons, Westminster Abbey and many other notable places. The New Zealand War Services Association also conducted Parties' on river trips and elsewhere.
