The sigh*; of seven fully-grown sea birds lying dead in a group beside the road at the foot of the Bluff Hill, Napier, recently,V caused speculation among passers-by. One person who examined the birds expressed the opinion that they had picked up poisoned grain from the wharf close by and ‘died during the night while roost-ing-in the cliffs. They had then fallen to the roadway below.
