PATRIOTIC FUNDS
OVERSEAS COMMISSIONER MR F. WAITE APPOINTED (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON. June 18. The appointment of Mr F. Waite, M.L.C., of Balclutha, to be the National Patriotic Fund Board’s overseas commissioner was announced last night.
Mr Waite was recommended for the position by the board, and Mr G. A. Hayden, secretary of the board, stated that advice had been received from the Minister of Defence (Mr F. Jones) that the Government had agreed to the recommendation. Mr Waite’s duties will be to control all activities of the National Patriotic Fund Board with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force.
