WOMEN’S TOURNAMENT DOMINION CHAMPIONSHIPS (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 18. The New Zealand Women’s Hockey Association to-night decided that the 1940 Dominion championships will be given to the Auckland Women’s Hockey Association. The games will probably start on Saturday, August 24, to coincide with the spring school vacation. The closing date for entries from affiliated associations is July 27. WOMEN’S EXECUTIVE MEETING A meeting of the executive of the Otago Women’s Hockey Association was held on Monday night. Miss R. Wilson presiding. It was reported that there were still clubs who were not sending in score cards after games, although this was imperative.
