v McCREADY BEATS RAINES l (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 17. ‘i By the only fall of the evening, Earl McCready beat Dick Raines in a livelywrestling bout to-night, revenging his recent defeat by Raines in Christchurch. After a very vigorous seven rounds. Raines, in the eighth. launched 8 tackle through the ropes from outride the ring. McCready met him with a halch. dumped him, and pinned him BLOMFIELD BEATS CORBETT (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 17. A match between two professional heavy-weights. Sergeant-major Lofty Blomfield (Auckland) and "oe Corbett (America), was productive of the best all-round wresting seen in Auckland this sfeason Blomfield was declared the winner on points after each ad obtained a fall. The referee’s decision was by no means popular.
