Haven in Victoria The Government of Victoria has decided to accept responsibility for the care of 5000 British refugee children as soon as the British Government is ready to send them to Australia. Plans are being prepared to find suitable persons prepared to adopt the children. Children Leaving London Sixteen trains from Waterloo and 16 from Paddington began the evacuation of the second great contingent of school children from London. It will take until June 18 to complete the evacuation. Gift from Gold Coast The British Government has gratefully accepted the generous offer of £IOO,OOO voted by the Gold Coast Government with the approval of the Legislative Council for the purchase of bomber or fighter aircraft.
