The total donations and interest-free loans to the Government for war purposes now total £2,031,574, according to an announcement fay the Minister of - Finance (Mr Nash) to-day. A GENEROUS OFFER WHOLE OF HOTEL PROFITS (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 15. An offer has been made to the Minister of Finance (Mr Nash) by Mr Er- • nest Montgomery, licensee' of the Imperial Hotel. Queen street, to give the whole of the profits of the' hotel for war purposes foV the duration of the war and three months after. If the amount totals less than £IOOO annually he will supply the balance from, hie private income. Mr Montgomery has also offered the whole of the profits accruing from the liquor booth at the coming Waikato race meeting. He will gladly submit the. hotel accounts to audit and will also pay the Social Security dues.
