DUTCH EAST INDIES
GERMAN REPORT DENIED NO BRITISH TROOPS LANDED LONDON, June 13. The Netherlands Government, in a statement, denies the German radio reports that 2000 British troops have landed in Java. “ There are no British troops in the Indies. We have no intention of changing our established policy of maintaining the status quo in the Indies.” it states.
