INFLUENZA EPIDEMIC

THE PAPAKXJRA OUTBREAK INCREASE IN HOSPITAL CASES (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 14. An increase to 547 occurred to-day in the number of soldier patients from the Papakura Camp who are suffering for influenza. The majority of these are accommodated in the emergency hospitals established at the Ellerslie racecourse and the Auckland Teachers' Training College. At the daily sick parade at the camp 204 men reported during the day. Seventy-four fresh patients were evacuated to the city, leaving 13 in the camp hospital. At Ellerslie there were 274, and at the training college there were 175, while the Auckland Hospital and the Auckland Infirmary had 73 and 25 respectively.
