ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
BUS DRIVER COLLAPSES Arthur Watson, a City Corporation bus driver, residing at Marama street. Sunshine, collapsed while in charge of a bus in the vicinity of Look-out Point on Thursday. He apparently felt the attack coming on and drove to the side of the road, collapsing after he had brought the vehicle to a standstill. He was admitted to hospital. SCHOOLBOY INJURED Roy Vincent, a youth living at 25 Alexandra street, Abbotsford, was admitted to hospital at 5.10 p.m. yesterday suffering from concussion received while playing football for King’s High School against the Otago Boys’ High school. CRUSHED HAND Lillian Clyma, a married woman, living at 4 Quarry street, St. Kilda, was admitted to hospital at 10.15 a.m. yesterday with a crushed hand, the result of an accident with a washing machine. FATAL INJURIES CAUGHT IN REVOLVING SHAFT (Per United Press Association) ASHBURTON, June 14. W. A. McPhail, a married man, of Mitcham, was fatally injured at Highbank when his coat was caught in a revolving shaft between a tractor and a potato digger. He died shortly after reaching hospital.
