LABOURERS’ UNION

VIEWS ON WAR EFFORT Members of the Otago General Labourers’ Union recently carried the following resolutions:— “That we opposi the formation of a Coalition Government a War Council, and the conscription of man-power for overseas service.” “That we congratulate Dr D. G. McMillan, M.P., upon his election as vice-president of the New Zealand Labour Party and as a Minister in the Cabinet. We express our deep appreciation to him for the service he has set himself out to achieve in the interest and welfare of the community ”
