HEROIC FRANCE

MESSAGE FROM DOMINION ALLIED IN VITAL STRUGGLE (From Our Parliamentary Reporter) WELLINGTON, June 14. A cablegram to the Prime Minister of France (M. Paul Reynaud) was sent to-night by the Prime Minister of New Zealand (Mr P. Fraser). The message is as follows: . “The Government and people of New Zealand have watched with tense anfclety and boundless admiration the heroic efforts of the French Army and people in their struggle against ruthless invasion. At this moment we desire to assure Jrou, Mr Prime Minister, that the cause of France is more than ever in our hearts, and to reaffirm in most solemn form our determination to pursue the conflict into which France and the British Commonwealth,! with their Allies, have been forced in defence of Justice and freedom, until victory is attained. Our cause is the cause of humanity, and in that cause we send our fraternal greetings and encouragement to republican and democratic France in her hour of trial.”
