o CHISHOLM PARK LADIES' CLUB The first round of. the knock-out competition for the Chisholm Park Ladies Club's match for the Victor Nelson Cup resulted as follows :~Mrs L. Wood beat Mrs W. T. Grant, 1 up; Mrs A. Bristow beat Miss N. Doocey, 10 and 8; Mrs N. H. Shepherd beat Mrs D. Sime. 9 and 6; Miss M. Rhodes beat Mrs Main, 4 and 3; Mrs A. Anderson beat Miss A. Foley, 4 and 2; Mrs L. Kaye beat Mrs J. Gorman. 2 and 1. Mrs E. Evans won by default. The best cards in the C Grade match were those of Mrs R. Steele 41 net, Mrs J. Herbert 48, Mrs J. Trewern 49 net. The C Grade match last Thursday was won by Miss N. Doocey, with Mrs J. Trewern runner-up. The draw for partners in to-day's matches will be made at the clubhouse. The B Grade match will be commenced at 1 p.m. and the C Grade at 2 p.m.
