LOGAN PARK CLUB ANNUAL MEETING The annual meeting of the Logan Park Bowling Club was held last evening, Mr T. Cornish occupying the chair. Reference was made by the chairman to the loss suffered by the club through the death of Mr A. King, and a motion of sympathy with the relatives was carried in silence. Moving the adoption of the annual report and balance sheet, the chairman congratulated those members who had been successful in competitions. Ine green was in excellent order and the members themselves had done a great deal in this direction. Mr W. J. Thompson seconded the motion, which was carried without discussion. •__■'. The following office-bearers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mr W. H. Saunders; vice-presi-dents, Messrs S. B. Hill and W. Maedonald; secretary, Mr A. A. McLennan; treasurer, Mr F. J Lough; committeeMessrs A. McHoull, R. Dawson, and T. Gibson; auditor, Mr G. Davidson; delegate to Dunedin Bowling Centre, Mr AA McLennan; selector. Mr T. Gibson; ties supervisor, Mr F. J. Lough; green supervisor, Mr T. Gibson; Social Committee—Messrs W. Macdonald, W. Coulter, J. McLaughlan, -ind DMcGregor; club captain. Mr F. JLough. Trophies won during the season were presented as follows: Champion Singles, Mr S. Hill; runner-up, Mr W. J Thompson; Handicap Singles, Mr H. Dunn; junior handicap, Mr C. Gardner; Club Doubles, Messrs F. Gray and F. J. Lough. ■ ■ In connection with the selection ol representative teams, it was complained that last year the _ players selected to represent the province had all been skips, and speakers expressed the opinion that a better method of selection should be adopted. It was decided to support a proposal that the centre should call for nominations from each club so that the ■ representative team could be selected from the players put forward. It was decided to enter for all competitions next season. Members present subscribed the sum of £3 3s to the Red Cross appeal.
