CAVERSHAM SCHOOL COMMITTEE

MONTHLY MEETING Mr W Inglis presided over the first monthly meeting of the Caversham School Committee. The headmaster reported that the dental clinic would open in temporary . premises in the mam school at the beginning of the new term. The site for the new clinic building had been decided on. Advice was received from the Education Board that levelling and general improvement of the lower playing area for the infant department were to be undertaken. Accounts totalling £l7 were passed for payment. The janitor reported that the installation of an automatic stoker at the main school had been completed. Renovation of the school interior, main school, was well under way, and the corridors and classrooms presented a cheery appearance. .... A suggestion that the pupils should be asked to collect non-ferrous scrap metals was declined by the committee.
