BEATS CORBETT (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 13. Fitter and more formidable than ever, Earl McCready beat a clever and active wrestler in Joe Corbett by a single fall 1n his opening bout in the Town Hall to-night. McCready obtained the fall in the sixth round when he ducked a flying tackle and sent Corbett crashing to the mat to be easily pinned. Corbett, with repeated attemtits to trap McCready in his specialty hold, a Japanese keylock, kept the bout lively to the end.
