INTOXICATED DRIVER

SECOND OFFENDER SENT TO . GAOL .(Per.United Press Association) GREYMOUTH, May 13. John David Stuart, aged 31, a clerk, of Hokitika, pleaded guilty to a charge of intoxication in charge of a car and was sentenced to 14 days' imprisonment I with hard labour by Mr G. G. Chisholm, S.M. He was also fined £1 on a charge of driving without a licence. The accused was under disqualification from driving when the offence was committed as the result of a. previous conviction in March, 1938.
