DAMAGES AWARDED

MOTOR ACCIDENT CASE ADMISSION OF LIABILITY (Special to Daily Times) WELLINGTON. May 13. Damages amounting to £1219 were awarded by a jury of 12 in the Supreme Court this afternoon to Jack Dale Ccnnor, a tram conductor, against Alfred Lark, a slip worker. Judgment was entered accordingly by Mr JusticG Ostler Connor claimed £209 special damages, all of which he was awarded, and £2OOO general damages. Lark admitted liability, leaving the jury to settle the amount of the damages. The claim arose from an accident which occurred about 11 p.m. on January 28 of this year, when Connor, who was manipulating a tramcar trolley pole in Riddiford street, was struck by Lark's car, receiving shock, concussion, and an injury to the back.
