PEACE NEGOTIATIONS

TO THE EDITOR

Sir—ln my former letter I called attention to the fact that all such argument as has been going on on the question of peace negotiations is of little or no use unless fundamental facts were considered. This indisputable statement, "Scot” says, is “futile babbling" and “may be ignored.” I agree that to speak about getting to the real truth in this matter in a newspaper correspondence is rather futile —a point I stressed in the first place But “ Scot ” would rather argue, debate, contradict, or be insulting, than even attempt to deal with the facts governing the situation. I have no difficuly in judging the type of superficiality favoured by “Scot” and his like, and humbly apologise for having intruded in a debate so little to mv liking.—l am. etc.. E. W. Flint.
