Mar. 23. 7 (Received Mar. 24, at -10 pan.) - The German economic delegation, at Bucharest, which is headed by Dr Clodius, sent a Note to the Rumanian Government in the most extreme terms, .. saying that it would not tolerate .the recent changes in Rumania’s trade policy. . Official circles in Bucharest deny that the Note is in the nature of an ultimatum, and thev say it can be regarded as a guide for economic discussions. V;'• ■<./■;; ■■ ,v ; Terms of Note The German . Nbte, it is reported, says that Germany- will not tolerate continual changes .in Rumania’s foreign trade regulations and system of dealing with foreign currencies. . The Note points out several necessities; as. follows: ,1; Readjustment of the mark and lei to, a rate more,favourable ,tb Germany, and. a reduction in ' ;export nricfes. ; 7 ' 2. An increase in the volume of 1 Germanrßumanian trade. .3. The speeding up of oil. and agricultural production. - 4. An improvement in transport.
