The Moa Flat branch met on Tuesday, when the president (Mrs H. Duff) occupied the chair, The roll call was " Uses of a scissors in the kitchen," and the competitions resulted:—BloomsMrs Genge 1, Miss Prattley 2, Miss Morton 3; vegetable—Mrs H. Duff 1, Mrs Edie 2, Mrs Rutherford and Miss Caffell (equal) 3. A study on the articles of the creed, written by Miss Borrie. was followed with interest. The hostesses were Mesdames J. Heath and Caffell and Misses Smaill and R Heath. * « *
The Ettrick branch met on Tuesday last, the president (Mrs Boraman) presiding. A parcel of knitting was despatched to the Red Cross Society in aid of the Finns. The meeting took the form of a " hard-up " social. Competitions were enjoyed and supper was served by the committee. Mrs Reichel was appointed secretary and Mrs Watt Red Cross secretary.
