MOTORIST INVOLVED IN ACCIDENT COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE (Peh United Press Association) AUCKLAND, Mar. 21. Explaining in a statement to the police that the reason why he did not stop his car after it had knocked down and seriously injured a pedestrian in the city on August 24 last was that he lost his head, Raymond Martin, a young married man, appeared in the Police Court before Mr F. H. Levien. S.M., on charges of failing to stop and of failing to render all practical assistance when an accident arising from the use of his car had occurred, involving injury to Daniel Frederick King. The accused pleaded guiltv and was committed to the Supreme Court fcr sentence. In the meantime he was allowed his liberty in his own recognisance of £lO.
