STRIKING COAL MINERS LEVY IMPOSED ON UNIONISTS SYDNEY, Mar. 22. (Received Mar. 22, at 9 p.m.) Almost every trade unionist in New South Wales will contribute one shilling a week for the sustenance of the striking coal miners. This was decided bv a special mass meeting of trade union executives, Labour Council delegates and ship stewards. The meeting adopted the Australian Council of Trade Unions' recommendation that all unions should impose a weekly levy of at least one shilling per member for the duration of the strike.
