THE AIR FORCE
EXPANSION OF TRAINING FACILITIES FURTHER BATCH OF RECRUITS / (Special to Daily Times) WELLINGTON, Mar. 22. . The efficient and rapid expansion of New Zealand's air training scheme is demonstrated by the increasing numbers of men who can be "handled at the various training .stations as the facilities are augmented. The latest batch of recruits to be posed totals 87 men. and these include only wireless operators and mechanics, and armourers. Although the total volume of young men offering thejr services to the Air Force is very large, necessitating the holding back of the training of some until late in the year, it will no doubt be encouraging to these men to know that such good progress generally is being made. . The latest batch for training includes the following South Canterbury. Otago and Southland recruits: ■ Wireless operators posted to Levin:— G. S. Briggs. Gore; A. G. Fyfe. Geraldine: C. W D. Hodgson.
