ANNUAL MEETING OF SOCIETY The annual meeting of. the Lancashire and Yorkshire Society was held on Saturday last. There was a good attendance of members, and the retiring president (Mrs G. Brooks) occupied the chair. The balance sheet showed the society in be in a good financial position Officers elected for the following year were:—President Mr F D, Swift; vicepresident Mr A Ellis: secretary. Mrs Brightling: trustees, Mr R, Harrison and Mr F. D. Swift: executive—Mesdames Ellis, Smith, Swift. Haworth, Ridding, Crossley. Knopp, and Braithwaite, and Messrs Sheather Kellett, and Rowan
