PORT CHALMERS CLUB The annual meeting of the Port Chalmers Golf Club was held on Wednesday evening, the president (Mr R. E. Hayward) occupying the chair. Moving the adaption of the annual report and balance sheet, the chairman said that the membership had been well maintained. The club was fortunate in possessing one of the best nine-hole courses in Otago, and with the improvements made last season, including the new fourth green, and the standard of maintenance adopted by the Green Committee, the members during the coming season would enjoy the best of conditions. He was pleased to report a very satisfactory financial position of the club’s affairs. A special effort had been made last season to liquidate the debt of £IOO which remained on the pavilion, and it was owing to the good work of the members that this was now an accomplished fact—The report was adopted.
