AMERICAN FOREST RESERVES
The opinion that, in spite of the huge demand of, modern industry, the forests of the United States and Canada would never be cut out, was expressed by Mr P. E. Freydig, a forestry expert from Seattle, who passed through Auckland by the Monterey. Forestry problems were being approached on progressive lines in America, and the annual increment exceeded the annual consumption, he said. Accordingly, there need be no misgivings as to the future*
