REVENUE AND EXPENDITURE INCREASE IN FLOATING DEBT (British Official Wireless) "], RUGBY, Jan. 23. ' The Exchequer returns show that the total ordinary revenue amounts to £684,931,659, compared with £600,395,417 a year ago. The inland revenue has yielded £315,470,000 to date, compared with £272,048,000 at the same date in 1939. f-: The total expenditure (less selfbalancing items) was £942,419,278, compared with £786,099,541 at the corresponding date in 1939. The total floating debt outstanding: on January 20 was £1,512,775,000/ an increase of £591,465,000 since the. beginning of the financial year.
