THE WESTERN FRONT

BRITISH REINFORCEMENTS £ . LONDON, Jan. 20. (Received Jan. 21, at, 6 p.m.) The severe leather has not checked the movement cf reinforcements, which continue to arrive at the Western Front from Britain. The freezing weather throughout Europe continues, and many cities report a shortage of foodstuffs and coal owing to the dislocation of transport. A hundred degrees of frost were recorded in the middle of Finland, and 43 in Germany. Icefloes have brought to a standstill the navigation of the Rhone and most of the Netherlands waters. Icefloes exploding mines in Danish wafers suggest an explanation for the Sylt bombing mystery, though German circles, despite the British denial, insist that the Royal Air Force was responsible.
