Wellington's Plunket Shield team to play against, Canterbury is: McLeod (captain), Du Chateau, Hepburn, Tindill, Rainbird, Lamason, Airey, Wrigley, Wilson, Pritchard, Ashenden, with Ongley as twelfth man. BRABIN SHIELD MATCHES OTAGO OUTCLASSED (Per United Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH. Dec. 28. Canterbury outclassed Otago in a Brabin Shield match, winning by six wickets- and 184 runs on the first innings. Otago made 125 (Mclntyre 52). and Canterbury replied with 309 for four wickets (I. Baxter 124, D. W Monaghan 82. F. B. Smith 50 not out) AUCKLAND BEATS WELLINGTON (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 28. The Brabin Shield cricket match between Wellington and Auckland to-day resulted in a win for Auckland by three wickets. Play was confined to one day because rain prevented play yesterday Wellington batted first on an easy wicket and made 160. Auckland replied with 164 for the loss of seven wickets.
