EMERGENCY AND THE REMEDY
TO THE EDITOR Sir, —Your correspondent 4/1530 in his letter of the Ist instant continues his policy of dodging the issue. Members of the N.Z.E.F. in France were quite aware of the work performed by the members of the Tunnelling Corps, and would be the last to impugn their courage. Nobody doubts the courage of Goerihg, but that does not make the methods of the Nazi Party smell any sweeter. It is quite apparent from reports regarding the mass meeting at Hamilton that deliberate attempts at intimidation were madfe by members of the Socialist Labour Party. Have these methods the approval of 4/1530? Your correspondent says that this is a time when we should stand or fall behind the Government’s effort to help Great Britain. Let me suggest to him that he read the reference in this morning’s issue of your paper to the motion passed by the West Coast Trades Council, and let us know whether or not it meets with his approval.—l am, etc., •• Arator. Dunedin. December 6.
