AIR COMBAT OVER NORTH SEA YORKSHIRE PILOT'S FEAT LONDON, Nov. 23. (Received Nov. 24, at 2 a.m.) It is revealed that the North Sea combat occurred on November 21. Eight machines, not nine, were brought down. A 22-year-old Yorkshire pilot sighted a German bomber, climbed up beneath the enemy to a height of five miles, and pursued him over the sea. He opened fire at a range of 100 yards. The bomber heeled over after the first burst and spiralled down at a great speed. It hit the sea as the petrol tank exploded. RUMANIAN GOVERNMENT RESIGNATION ANNOUNCED LONDON, Nov. 23. (Received Nov. 24, at 2 a.m.) It is reported from Bucharest that the Rumanian Government has resigned. THE SHETLAND RAID BOMBING OF SEAPLANE LONDON, Nov. 23. (Received Nov. 24, at 2 a.m.) The six German planes that made the raid on the Shetlands first circled the area bombed last week and unsuccessfully attempted to bomb a small island mail steamer. The raiders then dived on a seaplane. They flew so low that their crews we're visible. As bombs dropped seven members of the crew of the seaplane leapt into the water and struck out for the shore. One bomb dropped within 25 yards of the seaplane and partly shot away a float to which one airman was clinging. Boats picked up six members of the crew, and the seventh, fully clad, swam 500 yards to the shore.
