HOLLAND PROTESTS VIOLATION OF NEUTRALITY LONDON, Nov. 19. The latest development in the war in the air is an encounter between a Dutch machine and three German planes, as a result of which Holland has protested against the violation of her neutrality. A Dutch machine sighted a German flying boat near an island off the coast and undoubtedly over Dutch territorial waters. The Dutch machine opened fire, the German retaliating, but eventually flying off. The Dutch machine spotted two other German flying boats shortly afterwards, but these also flew off after being fired upon. Holland is protesting not only against the violation of her neutrality, but against the action of the German flying boat in firing on a Dutch plane. NO IMPORTANT DEVELOPMENTS LONDON, Nov. 19. This morning’s French war communique states that nothing of importance occurred during the night. A German shell fell on a farm, injuring a 17-year-old girl. ITALY AND SPAIN LONDON, Nov. 19. (Received Nov. 20, at 1.30 a.m.) The Paris radio reports that Italy and Spain informed Germany that they are interested in the preservation of the territorial integrity of Belgium and the Netherlands. GERMANS SCUTTLE SHIP LONDON, Nov. 19. (Received Nov. 20, at 1.30 a.m.) The captain and 57 seamen of a German ship were landed at a Scottish seaport. They scuttled their ship when a British patrol vessel ordered her to stop. The crew took to the boats and were picked up. AID FROM TRINIDAD PORT OF SPAIN, Nov. 19. (Received Nov. 20, at 1.30 a.m.) Trinidad has voted 1,000,000 dollars to assist Britain in the war. / FOREIGN SHIPS CHARTERED NEW YORK, Nov; 19. (Received Nov. 20, at 1.30 a.m.) The Black Diamond line has chartered two Danish ships and one Italian ship, the Stahl, the Christian Borg, and the San Leonardo, and expects to charter a total of eight and 10 respectively for regular sailings to Rottei'dam and Antwerp.
