FORECAST FOR OTAGO SOUTH-WESTERLY WINDS PREDICTED The following official weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours, was issued at 5 p.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington:— Moderate south-westerly winds. Weather for the most part fair, but a few showers probable, more especially on the coast and in the south. Temperatures becoming cooler. Seas slight to moderate. DOMINION FORECAST UNSETTLED CONDITIONS PROBABLE The following is the official weather forecast for the Dominion: — A weak disturbance lies across the centre of the Dominion and is moving slowly northward, while a slight secondary is approaching in the south. Pressure remains relatively high to the north. Indications are for:— Winds.—Light to fresh in force, and rather variable, but with directions between south and west predominating. Seas. —New Zealand waters: Slight or moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea; Light to fresh south-westerly winds predominating; sea slight to moderate. Weather.—Cloudy and unsettled, with some scattered light rains—more especially over the North Island and in the far south. Temperatures mild, but becoming cooler in the south. WEATHER IN DUNEDIN The weather was again warm on Saturday and there was no wind. Rain showers fell in the afternoon after a nleasant morning but conditions were better in the evening. The barometer was steady at 29.90 inches (1012 millibars) and the maximum temoerature was 65 degrees. Similar conditions prevailed yesterday, there being practically no wind and the temperature remaining warm, the maximum being 62 degrees. The barometer was fairly steady, rising slightly to read 30.06 inches (1018 millibars) at midnight. The following observations were taken on the self-recording instruments at the Otago Daily Times Office, Dunedin, up to midnight on Saturday, November 18, and Sunday, November 19.
