OBITUARY

MR WALTER L. LOGIE For many years a well-known figure in Dunedin business circles, Mr Walter Loo Logie passed away at his residence 10 Regent road, on Tuesday. The elder son of the late Mr Walter Logie, he entered the service of the New Zealand Bible Tract and Book Society at Dunedin as a young man, and eventually became its manager. He was in its service for about 40 years, but retired from business many years ago. Mr Logie was an active member of the York Place Hall, and being keenly interested in music, was one of the oldest members of the Choral Society His kindly interest in those less fortunate was shown by his regular visits to the Dunedin Hospital, and over a period of many years he was leader of a choir which sang regularly at the Hospital. He was also one of the earlv members of the St. John Ambulance Association, and anything that had to do with the well-being of his fellows found in him an active and keen supporter. Mr Logie was unmarried.
