NEW ZEALAND WOOL

PURCHASE BY BRITAIN PORTS FOR APPRAISEMENT (Teh United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Oct. 27. The announcement of the ports at which New Zealand wool for purchase by the United Kingdom Government would be appraised was made by the Minister of Marketing (Mr W. Nash) in a broadcast address to-night. The ports are Auckland, Gisborne, Napiei:, Wanganui, Wellington, Christchurch, Timaru. Dunedin and Invercargill. Mr Nash said that after a full conference with the Overseas Shipowners’ Allotment Committee a tentative decision had been reached for appraisement at Tokomaru Bay, Nelson, and Blenheim. The final decision depended on an agreement about the extra cost involved in connection with appraisement at these places.
