SUNDAY SERVICES

The Rev. H. W. Turner will conduct the morning service at Knox Church to-mor-row, and the evening service will be conducted by the Rev. I. G. Borrie.

At First Church to-morrow both services will be conducted by the Rev. A. C. Watson, of St. Paul’s, Christchurch. In the morning the solo, “My Hope is in the Everlasting ” (Stainer) will be sung, and the evening music will include the quartet “ Ye Who From His Ways Have Turned ” (Mendelssohn), and the anthem “ Oh be Joyful in the Lord ” (Wood). Dr Galway will be at the organ.

At the Maori Hill Presbyterian Church, the morning .service will be conducted by the Rev. A. M. Elliffe, superintendent of the Presbyterian Social Service Association. The Rev. A. C. W. Standage will preach in the evening, the subject being “ Back to God.” There will be a service at Wakari at 7.30 p.m.

At St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church the subject at the morning service will be " With Honey from the Rock,” and the subject in the evening, "A Mystery Revealed.” The preacher at both services will be the Rev. Thomas Miller.

At the Congregational Church, Moray place, to-morrow, the Rev. John H. Harris will conduct both morning and evening services. In the evening the choir will render the anthem “ The Lord’s My Shepherd," and Mr V. B. Smith will sing “ If With all Your Hearts.” Next Wednesday evening the annual church meeting will be held.

The Rev. J. Ewen Simpson will conduct the services at the Hanover Street Baptist Church, speaking in the morning on “ They That be With Us " and in the evening on " Faith.” The evening service will be a visitors’ service. The anthem will be “ The King of Love.” The seventy-seventh anniversary of the Trinity Methodist Church, Stuart street, will be celebrated to-morrow, with special messages and music. The Rev. Dr S. F. Hunter will be the morning preacher, and the Rev. B. Metson will speak in the evening. At the evening service the choir will sing the anthem, “ Worship,” and will render Haydn's Oratorio, “ The Creation." The soloists will be Miss Doris Wilson and Messrs Lionel Powell and Ernest Short.

“ Walking Witli God ” will be the Rev. C. G. Hedley Bycroft’s morning topic at the United Congregational Church, Albany street, to-morrow. In the evening the subject will be ‘The Resurrections.” Miss Joyce Ashton will be the soloist. At the Theosophlcal Society the next lecture of the Brotherhood Campaign will be given by Mr J. M. McEwan, whose title will be “ The Stars in their Courses—Stray Thoughts on Astrology.”

“Prophecies that Failed" is the. title of an address by Mr A. W. Stables at the Spiritualist Church, St. Andrew street, tomorrow evening. After the address, Sister Swift will' give demonstrations of spiritual clairvoyance. The Healing Centre will meet in the Premier. Buildings. Princes street, on Monday evening. There will be a short meeting of members after the service to-morrow evening. In the South Dunedin Town Hall tomorrow night at 6.45, a lecture of interest to all will be presented, entitled “ Hitler and the Jew—What of the Future of the Polish Jews? ” At the Greater World Spiritual Mission, Knowsley Hall, at 6.30 p.m. to-morrow, the service will be conducted by Miss Eileen R. Begg. Her subject will be "Who and What are Rosicrucians? ” Science and healing circle will follow. The psychometry meeting will be held on Thursday at 8 p.m.
