Two Christchurch nurses, trained in Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin hospitals, are serving in France, Sister Nance Wilkinson is attached to the Queen Victoria Memorial Hospital in Nice, now a military hospital, and Sister Nell Wilkinson is second in command on an ambulance train for British soldiers. ¥ ¥ ¥

The annual meeting of the Otago Women’s Club was held on Thursday afternoon at the club rooms. The president. Lady Ferguson, moved the adoption of the report and balance sheet and Miss Joyce Brugh seconded the motion, after which the ballot took place. The reports of . the various circles were read by their secretaries. The election of office-bearers resulted: —President. Lady Ferguson;, vicepresidents—Mesdames A. A. Fairbairn. G. Fitzgerald and R. Lady Ferguson proposed a vote oi thanks to the scrutineers (Mrs Chapman. Mrs E. J. Anderson and Miss Mercer) and a vote of thanks to the president and committee was prooosed by Mrs S. P. Cameron.

Mrs Richard Hudson, president of the Dunedin Repertory Society, entertained the women members of the various committees of the society to afternoon tea yesterday at her home in Royal terrace. The guest of honour was Miss Essie Moloney, who will leave shortly for Wellington to take up a position at the Otago Court of the Centennial Exhibition. A spray of deep cream roses, together with a small gift, was presented to Miss Moloney by Mrs Hudson. Tea was served in the dining-room, where yellow tulips and blue forget-me-nots made a pretty centre-piece for the tame. Those present were Mesdames a. jMoller, Wakefield Holmes. McPhail. A.
