THE OTAGO ELECTRIC POWER BOARD HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that such .Board proposes, for the purposes hereinafter mentioned, to raise a Special Loan of Twelve Thousand Pounds (£12,000) at a rate of interest not exceeding Four pounds five shillings per centum per annum and a sinking fund if £2 10s per centum per annum. PURPOSES: To enable the said Board to establish, acquire, and carry but the following works and undertakings in portion of Clutha County and Town District of Clinton added to the Otago Electric Power District by proclamation dated April SO, 1939: Construction of transmission and distributing lines, sub-sixtions, purchase and erection of all necessary equipment, motors, works, plant, machinery, apparatus, motor vehicles, and conveyances, lands, easements and buildings, office furnishings, fittings and requisites, and to provide expenses of administration and generally to exercise its rights and powers as may be deemed expedient by the Board under the authority of “The Electric Power Boards Act 1925 ” and its Amendments. It is proposed to pledge as security a Special Rate, of seven-twentieths pence in the pound on the capital rateable value of all rateable property in the special area of the Otago Electric Power District defined by proclamation on April 20 1939, such rate to be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan, and to be made and levied by resolution of the said Board, to be passed after the said special loan has been agreed to by the ratenayers.
